What causes heat rash?

In summer, when the heat is very high and there is a lot of sweating, a rash appears on the body, which is called heat rash and is also called prickly heat. It is also called miliaria. It is not malaria, but miliaria is the same rash in which small grains form. There is a little fluid inside them. It causes a lot of pain with water.

Symptoms of Heat Rash

  • Red or pink rash
  • Itchy or prickly sensation
  • Small blisters or bumps
  • Usually appears on the neck, shoulders, chest, back, or thighs

What is the solution to this?

Before that, it is important to know the cause. Look, there are sweat glands inside your body that produce sweat. What is the function of sweat? When you sweat, it evaporates. It flies away from your skin. When it flies away, it leaves a cooling effect below, meaning it reduces the temperature of your body a little. That is why you sweat in summer. The more you sweat, the more the cooling effect it has. The body has a mechanism through which it maintains its temperature.  It happens when sweat doesn’t find a way to escape, for example, you’re wearing tight clothes, or you’re wearing a shirt, etc. The clothes you are wearing are so tight that they are not breathable. Air or water cannot pass through them.

What will happen because of this?

Sweat will not evaporate. When sweat evaporates, sweat will not find a way to go above the skin. Then, due to this, the glands that are there, which are sweat glands, get blocked. When they are blocked, then a rash forms there. It becomes watery. They become small blisters.

If you want to treat or avoid it

You first have to wear breathable clothes. Cotton clothes are good and are a little loose-fitting. If they are too tight and fit right next to the skin, then they will cause problems.

Secondly, do not go to a place where you sweat a lot. When you sweat a lot, this problem will arise. That means, when the heat is very high, if you do not go outside at that time, it is possible then change your clothes quickly. If sweat gets on the clothes, they become a little stiff, then they are no longer breathable.

  • Wear loose, breathable clothing
  • Keep cool and avoid excessive heat
  • Stay in air-conditioned environments during heat waves
  • Bathe regularly and keep the skin dry

 Conclusion

If you have a rash that has become very severe, then it will go away on its own. But still, if you want to get relief from it quickly, then cold compresses, which are called cold compresses, wrap ice in a cloth or any cold object in a cloth and rub it gently on it and it will heal on its own. The rest is because this rash occurs when the heat is high, so try to drink as much water as possible, which is saline water, which also contains salts, because when you sweat, water is lost, and salts are also lost.
